The Town Council typically holds its meetings on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at the Fairfield Community Center, 61 Water Street, Fairfield ME  04937. 

All Council decisions or resolutions are made during Council meetings. The meetings are open to the public and residents have an opportunity to speak when the floor is open to general public comments (limit 3 minutes), and also during any public hearings on specific issues. 

The Town Council reserves the right to change the date, time or location of any meeting, and to add additional meetings throughout the month.

As required by Town Charter, the Town Council meets in January each year to elect its officers, make appointments, and set the regular schedule of Council Meetings, in addition to other necessary action items. The Organizational Meeting is held in Council Chambers at 6:30 p.m.
