Special Amusement Permits
A Special Amusement Permit is required for music, dancing, or entertainment in facilities licensed by the State of Maine to sell liquor.
When applying for a special amusement permit, the Town Clerk requires an attested copy of the Articles of Incorporation and by-laws if the applicant is a corporation; Articles of Association and by-laws if the applicant is an Association; or partnership documents if the applicant is a partnership, and an affidavit identifying all principal officers, their places of residency at the present time, and for the immediately preceding three (3) years.
The license fee is payable in advance in the amount of $35 for a special amusement permit, plus the cost of the public hearing notice, annually.
A special amusement permit shall be valid only for the license year of the applicant's existing liquor license.
