Massage Therapists

Licenses for Massage Therapy are governed by the State of Maine (MRSA Title 32, Chapter 125, Sections 14301-14311). Providing massage therapy or professing to be a masseuse or masseur without obtaining a license from the State of Maine is a Class E crime.

The fee (payable to the State of Maine) is $25.00 for a one-time application, and $100.00 for the yearly registration fee. All fees are non-refundable.

Upon receiving a license from the State of Maine, the licensee will need to present the license at the Office of the Town Clerk located at 19 Lawrence Avenue in Fairfield on an annual basis.  The licensee will also need to register their business with the Town of Fairfield.  For more information on registering a business, click here.
