The Department provides emergency medical services and fire services for the Towns of Fairfield and Benton. The Fire Department consists of a full-time Fire Chief and six full-time firefighter/emergency medical technicians. There are also roughly 20 volunteer firefighters.
There are two fire stations located in the Town of Fairfield
Station #1: 15 Lawrence Avenue, Fairfield
Station #2: 235 Old Center Road, Fairfield Center

Fairfield's Fire Chief also serves as the Emergency Management Director for the Towns of Fairfield and Benton.
