Beano/Games of Chance Licenses

A license must be obtained from the State of Maine to conduct Beano/Bingo Games or Games of Chance.

The fees for operating beano and/or games of chance are listed on the application.

Once the application is completed, it must be submitted to the Town Clerk a minimum of 2 weeks prior to the next scheduled Regular Town Council Meeting so that it can be listed on the next Council Agenda. Regular Town Council Meetings can be confirmed on the Calendar of Events or by contacting the Town Clerk.

If the Town Council approves the application, it will then need to be submitted to the State Department listed above at least eight (8) days prior to the first day on which Beano/Bingo or a game of chance will be conducted.

If Beano/Bingo or a game of chance will be conducted on a regular basis, the applicant may be eligible for a Blanket Letter of Approval for a one year period. Contact the Town Clerk for details.

Applicants are encouraged to plan accordingly and submit the application on time as licensure is governed by the laws of the State of Maine.
